Professional opera production has a lot of moving parts: everything from castors to costumes need to be sourced and crafted perfectly to fit the artistic vision. You can help us bring our 2023 production of Così fan tutte to life with a donation that goes directly to production costs.
Support of all sizes is most welcome and very much appreciated. Below we’ve organized about 60 items in our production that you can help support, and we will update throughout the campaign to show what is still available. We will have a page in our performance program listing each item donated (and by whom) so be sure to list your name as you’d like to appear. All donations to Opera Kelowna are eligible for tax receipts. Make your mark on the magic of opera this summer!

Tech and performance week is demanding on the team! They need a lot of healthy and nourishing snacks like veggies, fruit, cheese, crackers, granola, etc…to keep them in tip top shape each day for 6 days.
Yes this production includes a canoe! We won’t say exactly what it’s used for, but it DOES need to be specially rigged for use on land.
Our gallant young Gugliemo and Ferrando need to put their best foot forward in wooing our wily young vacationers!
We need classy yet shatterproof bar supplies to bring our setting to life! Acrylic glasses give all the sparkle and shine of cocktail glasswear and these specialized items cost $11.25 each.
No fancy hotel is complete without its bar! We’ll need 16 pieces of wood trim to complete this set piece.
No vacation romance is complete without a suitcase … or four!
Fiordiligi is a young woman who is travelling in style with her dear sister. This costume is coming from the Stratford Festival!
An aperol spritz just isn’t the same if it’s not in a coupe glass! Our production uses 4 of these and of course they must be shatter proof for safety’s sake.
Turning wood into 3 stone floors is no small feat, and will require a lot of very specific paint to get it done!

Gaffer tape holds it all together in theatre: this brightly coloured, non-reflective tape marks all the spots where everything needs to go, and when. We’ll use one colour for each scene of COSI fan tutte, for a total of 6 rolls needed.
Our production features a piano bar as part of the set! Moving pianos means tuning them so that the orchestra and singers all sound glorious together. We’ll need 4 tunings for this production.

I really enjoyed the music production, and the actors were phenomenal in their acting and singing. The fact that this was a bilingual production was a pleasant surprise!
Thank you for this option!! I like bringing my entire family with me, but I can’t afford tickets for everyone – pay what you can means that I can buy tickets for my adult kids and their significant others, and introduce opera to people who wouldn’t go on their own.
