Ming-Xuan started his musical endeavours at the piano at the age of 6, eventually completing his LTCL in piano performance. He didn’t come to singing until he joined the Simon Fraser University Choir, completing his BSc at SFU. Having discovered his passion for singing and Opera during his time in the UBC Summer Voice Workshop, he began singing with local opera and theater companies. Some highlights include Burnaby Lyric Opera’s production of Madama Butterfly as Prince Yamadori, Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi, Basilio and Don Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro. NSLOS’ production of Into the Woods as the Steward, Duke in Patience, Frederik in Pirates of Penzance. NUOVA’s production of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder as Monty Navarro. Chong in Thunderstorm with Nebula Performances. UBC’s production of Rusalka as Gamekeeper, Shadow Catch as the Runaway Boy, H.M.S. Pinafore as Ralph Rackstraw, Street Scene as Sam.
