Young Canadian soprano Olivia Smith (21 yrs old) hails from Kelowna, British Columbia and will soon be entering the fourth year of her undergraduate degree at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, studying with esteemed faculty, Ruth Falcon.

This 2019/2020 season she had the privilege to perform concert scenes with world renowned conductor and Music Director of the Metropolitan Opera, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and most recently performed the role of Berta in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia. She was also scheduled to sing the role of  Servilia in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito with the Curtis Opera Theater in May, 2020. She has performed the roles of Cathleen in Vaughan Williams’ Riders to the Sea and First Witch in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, with the Curtis Opera Theater.

In February 2019 she entered the George London Competition, where she received the Henry and Dianna Asher Family Charitable Fund encouragement grant as the youngest finalist.
